Notice & takedown · 17 U.S.C. §512
HearQA helps you find and play media from free, legal third-party sources (YouTube, public-domain archives, Creative-Commons catalogues) and from sources you register yourself. We do not host, store, or redistribute the underlying content. Even so, if you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act for one) and believe material accessible through HearQA infringes your rights, you can send us a takedown notice and we will act on valid notices promptly.
How to file a notice
A valid notice must identify the copyrighted work, identify the allegedly infringing material with enough detail for us to locate it, include your contact information, a good-faith statement, and a statement — under penalty of perjury — that you are authorized to act. Use the form below, or email legal@hearqa.com directly.
What happens next
Valid notices are reviewed and actioned (the relevant result is removed from discovery) within a reasonable time. We notify the affected user where applicable. Repeat infringers may have their account terminated. Knowingly materially misrepresenting that material is infringing may subject you to liability under §512(f).
